Margo’s
Portfolio
I’m Margarita Andrusenko, an aspiring international artist. I specialize in both traditional and digital art.
Art is a big part of who I am, and I want to inspire many more people just like me with visual storytelling through animation.
Satyre et Bacchante
I drew this as a spur of the moment when I saw this beautiful sculpture. Satyre, a creature that’s half human, half goat, holds a bacchante, a nymph linked to the cult of Dionysus. I found this sculpture extremely interesting by the way the light fell on them and accentuated their beautiful curves. I used […]
The Psyche Mirror
This work is a study of one of Berthe Morisot’s paintings, “The Psyche Mirror”. Although I made this with watercolors instead of oil paints, I think I learned a lot with this study. Morisot is a French impressionist artist that I admire, especially because of the delicate way she paints all her subjects. She mostly […]
Black & White vs Colour
I made these drawings as an exam at school, in which we had to make two drawings, one in black and white, and another in colour. The first one is done with a black pen and some help of a black marker for the darkest parts, while in the second piece I mixed alcohol markers […]
Tenerife Beach
This is a plein-air done not so far from home on a beach. This was the first time I used oil outside and I found it quite entertaining. It doesn’t dry as quickly as other paint which was something I had to get used to in a plein-air setting.
Casual Poses
Here I did some sketches by observing the different people and their movements at the gym. I find the most interesting way of drawing someone is when they don’t know they’re being observed. That way keeping the result more natural.
Leopard
This is one of my most recent works, which I drew after being inspired by one of my favourite artists, Aaron Blaise. I chose to draw a leopard because I find big cats mysterious and peaceful at the same time. Elegant and deadly. Through this piece I tried to convey a sense of serenity and […]
Borne de Isabel II
This was one of my favourite exhibits at the Royal Collection Gallery in Madrid. It’s called “Borne de Isabel II” or “Diván circular” (circular couch). I tried to keep the process simple but at the same time giving the illusion of detail.
